How to tell if your computer has Bluetooth

Not sure if your device is Bluetooth ready? Below is a 3rd party video about how to tell if your computer has Bluetooth or not.

 

Windows XP, Vista and 7

* Written directions below

  1. Press, Start Button.
  2. Select, Control Panel.
  3. Select, System and Security.
  4. Under "System" select, Device Manager.
  5. Under your list of devices:
    1. "Bluetooth Radio" may be under your list of devices.
    2. If not check under, "Network Adapters".
    3. If you still have not located it, then you device does not have Bluetooth capabilities.

 

Windows 8 and 8.1

For Windows 8 (and 8.1), you can quickly access Control Panel by:

  1. Pressing the key combination, Win+C.
  2. Select, Settings.
  3. Select, Control Panel.
  4. Select, Hardware and Sound.
  5. Under, "Devices and Printers" select, Device Manager.
  6. Under "System" select, Device Manager.
  7. Under your list of devices:
    1. "Bluetooth Radio" may be under your list of devices.
    2. If not check under, "Network Adapters".
    3. If you still have not located it, then you device does not have Bluetooth capabilities.
